From the Christchurch we fly west over the Canterbury Plains on track to the majestic Waimakariri Gorge, gateway to the Southern Alps. Enjoy the thrill of flying through this spectacular steep sided river canyon before climbing to land at high altitude on the summit of the dramatic Chest Peak. Here you will enjoy expansive 360 degree views overlooking the Canterbury Plains and our snow capped alpine mountains. After enjoying some light refreshments in the pure mountain air, re board your helicopter and enjoy a thrilling descent over the Ashley River and Lee’s Valley for the return flight to Christchurch.
