Your accommodation is the our honeymoon suite - a king bed, luxury ensuite, cosy lounge with fireplace and sheepskin rug. Bring your favourite DVDs and your i-Pod to set the ambiance. After check-in, enjoy the pool and spa, bush walks and bird watching, or relax on your very private large covered deck with big views over Kahurangi National Park with a book from our library as you listen to the birds. On the first evening you will dine at the Lodge. Evening appetisers are served at 7pm. The 4-course dinner showcases fresh local produce in a style inspired by France and the Mediterranean. There is a fine selection of Nelson wines available to complement the dining experience. We can set up a candle-lit table for 2 or join other guests for our dinner-party style dining. Look up to the magnificant stars before dropping off to sleep. Awake to the sound of the birds, refreshed and ready for a healthy breakfast on the sunny verandah or bacon & eggs and an expresso coffee up at the main Lodge. Today you will embark on a self-drive tour through the Moutere – known as 'Little Provence' these plains are home to many of Nelson's wine and olive oil growers. Meander past the wineries and stop for olive oil & cheese tastings. Ending at Waimea Estates' Cafe in the Vineyard for tastings and lunch. As the sun goes down, enjoy a complimentary bottle of bubbly as your partner rustles up a treat on the BBQ using wines and ingredients you bought during the gourmet tour. Enjoy the luxury of breakfast in bed the following day and, before leaving, stroll down to the source of the Riwaka River and see one of New Zealand's most beautiful short DOC walks.
